Today 3D printing is a innovation in which people has found new ways of creating things they have been dreaming. Starting from simple shapes, today’s blogs and social networks has shown things that are really astonishing and out of the boundaries of imagination. As market grows and is developing everyone tries to have own 3D printer, but sometimes it’s connected to some costs. But innovative people and companies where they work, are trying to find cheaper and cheaper solutions and I am happy to introduce you pretty new way to assemble own 3D printer, which will make your dreams come true from PiBot
Below is the image of the whole kit, seems easy, right? and that’s true because everything is pre-assembled and till 3D printer it’s just some wire connection stuff.
First of all, let me say that, this kit isn't targeting only programmers, or engineering geeks. It’s for beginners, developers and manufacturers, who tries to make their mini business more automatic or sophisticated. Also Kit is solderless, meaning that it doesn't include any “dirty” (soldering) job, which for me is some kind of torture, and I know that, there are many persons like me without soldering skills.
To go on, I will make detailed description of each part, included in the kit, because sometimes customers are eager to know what their favorite product contains and what they are buying. And I am absolutely agree with them because in actual life no one sits in informational vacuum and no one want to have something different than they have read. To Start there is main board which controls whole electronics and mechanics of the 3D printer, called PiBot Controller board with new firmware (rev.2). For stepper motor drivers we have 4 motor drivers (rev.2.2), nice LCD screen for computer free utilization and some configuration, 2 NTC thermistors for temperature sensing and overheat protection, 3 optical endstops for precise management of the mechanical peripherals and cables for connecting each module to entirely deploy device, plus USB cable for firmware update and further configuration via computer. All in all final result should look like in the image below
I also mention that whole kit isn't too large, here are the sizes of the modules
on the PiBot webpage there are tutorials which are really helpful for beginners and make assembling this kit easier than it is. Tutorials are available as video and as text with images.
As a customer I would also note that package is pretty light, it just weighs 680 grams and compared to the other kits. Also it supports free shipping by DHL which is the great option for money saving and people who looks for cost effective solutions. I strongly recommend you to make your own 3D printer using this kit, which aims to be the best, by visiting the web page of the kit, or just surf and see other products at PiBot.
